Bill Martin is the Assistant to the Secretary and Chief of Staff for the Diocese of Virginia, where he oversees registration and logistics for annual convention and other conferences. He also serves as the staff liaison for many diocesan governance groups. For Bill, helping others is the most rewarding part of his job. Before joining the diocesan staff, Bill had a successful career in downtown revitalization and neighborhood planning, retiring from the City of Richmond in 2012. Bill graduated with a B.A. in History and Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Bill shares his office with Monty, his Staffordshire bull terrier mix, who is the shredding officer at Mayo House and serves as loving therapist to the staff.
